Formed in 2007, Zazu offer a tribute to the past with an exciting blend of folkloric, nomadic and traditional Middle Eastern dances with a twist of contemporary urban spirit.

As Zazu we are well known for our dynamic and powerful stage presence, forging seamless bonds between ancient roots and modern aesthetics. Traditional vocal calling, eye contact and laughter make our performances inclusive for dancer and audience alike.

Co-Directors Lesley Foulkes and Steffi Ward collaborate with their tight-knit collective of talented performance artists to bring a unique brand of bellydance entertainment to the stage. Together we present a spirited form of expression we have come to be recognized for, which can be adapted to large stages and small venues alike.
